Diversity
The principle of requisite variety asserts that a system must be at least as diverse as its containing environment in order to sustain itself and remain viable. Our natural tendency toward affinity and homogenization must be transcended in order for us to truly leverage the gifts of our human diversity.
Formerly the National Conference for Christians and Jews, the NCCJ continues to play a critical role in interfaith and cultural understanding. Their interfaith calendar provides a unique outline of both the diversity and unifying understanding of the major world religions. |
